An important part of our work in Spain is raising awareness about the challenges of the social groups we work with in India, as well as securing the funds needed to continue financing our projects. During the past few months, we have held various events in different parts of the country to attempt to meet these objectives.
On June 29, A-K’s Annual Dinner was held in Almeria in the company of great friends who once again joined us with joy and generosity. On September 24, we held our Annual Solidarity Dinner at Ecocentro in Madrid, with the intention of furthering our new project Protecting the rights of street children. Both evenings were marked by giving and the happiness of sharing.
The photographic exhibition Eyes to see with by Uttam Módenes is currently in Mérida at Alcazaba Cultural Center until October 14. Many people are getting to know us through the faces and eyes of the Indian children depicted in these photographs.
On October 6th, we informed visitors about our projects at the Wanderlust festival thanks to Bakasana, who invited us to join them in their beautiful yoga mat stand. Visit bk-bakasana.com/
The same day, a beautiful black light Puppet Show was held at Auditorium Infanta Leonor in Arona, working conjointly with Teatrapa Productions. We had a full house with over 550 people enjoying the show with us.
All these activities and events are possible thanks to the teamwork and support of our volunteers who stay close to us with their love and commitment.
There will be many more activities this year. Stay tuned!
