Much More Than Just Learning How to Read
Most Talibé children have never attended school. Many reach adulthood without ever having set foot in a formal classroom, not having learned to read or write, and not having had the chance to discover everything they can do.
At Talibé Children’s Home, we want to change that reality.
Every day, the children find a space where they can learn basic literacy, write their names for the first time, and open a window to knowledge. But they also find something just as important: the opportunity to explore who they are.
Through drawing, painting, music, play, and other artistic activities, they can express their emotions, develop their creativity, and discover talents they might otherwise never have known they had.
We believe that education is not just about acquiring knowledge. It also means stirring curiosity, building confidence, and giving every child the opportunity to forge their own path.
Because every human being is unique and irreplaceable. And every child has the fundamental right not only to learn, but also to discover themselves, express themselves, and fully develop their abilities.
That, too, is what it means to protect children.
