Amadou’s impressions about his participation in the Solidarity Space of Malaga’s Film Festival

Yesterday, I had the chance to share my story at the conference and it was one of the most emotional and meaningful experiences of my life. At the beginning, I was a little nervous, but as I spoke, I felt that my message touched the hearts of the audience. The reaction of the people was incredible. They listened attentively, were very moved, and applauded and hugged me in the end.

After my speech, many of them came up to ask me questions about my experience and the reality of immigration. It was a very special moment because I could see that my words really touched people and raised awareness.

Later, I had dinner with several people who attended the event, which allowed me to continue talking and feeling supported. Today, I feel grateful, relieved, and more confident to continue sharing my story. This experience has shown me that explaining what we immigrants go through can help more people understand our reality and, above all, want to help.
