Asha-Kiran: whose side are we on?
What we focus our attention on while we work and contribute to this project is the core, the essence that moves us.
We do not follow the voices of any political, religious, or philosophical faction. We act from a calling that moves and resonates in every humanitarian and caring heart.
Our actions are not born out of the desire to fill our free time, nor as an answer to the confusion of not knowing what to do with our own lives, nor from remorse for having more or less than others, nor from empty hopes of gaining social or heavenly recognition. Asha-Kiran's dedication springs from a different place: something that which dwells within us all and is awakened when our hearts feel the pain of others, when we hear a need and a cry for help, when we perceive the vertigo of inequality that separates and tears brothers and sisters apart in struggles where everyone loses: where they lose respect, lose health, lose resources, lose life.
At Asha-Kiran, we don't make a morbid display out of poverty or war. We don't portray a harsh reality to impress, nor do we position ourselves from the arrogance of feeling superior or being anyone’s savior. We side with forces already present in the world, and accept our role in a place of harmonization.
We care for those who suffer, regardless of their nationality, faction, or affiliation. Our attention is directed to staying close to others from a pure feeling that acknowledges something that is above the changing roles that we, as humans, can play.
