Divyansh, the Boy Who Learned to Trust
When Divyansh arrived at one of our Daycare Centers, he was just a year and a half. His mother, Preeti, worked long hours as a cleaning assistant and needed a safe place where her son could be cared for while she worked.
The first days were not easy. Divyansh was very attached to his mother, and the separation was hard for him. He cried every morning when she dropped him off at the Center, and this was difficult for Preeti as well.
But, little by little, something began to change.
As the weeks went by, Divyansh began to warm up to the teachers and fit in with the group. When the other children stood for prayer, he stood up too. He started sharing toys, eating with his classmates, and holding his little chalkboard just like the others.
Now, Divyansh happily participates in activities, enjoys his nap in a hammock, and, most importantly, has learned something profoundly important: to trust, even when his mother isn’t there.
With his second birthday just around the corner, Preeti excitedly tells us how much her son has changed. Now, when he goes home, Divyansh says goodbye to his teacher with a little “bye-bye.”
Stories like Divyansh’s remind us that care, presence, and love also change lives from a very young age.
