A Few Hours That Can Transform Many Lives

There are experiences that begin with just a few hours of volunteering and end up changing the way we see others. Today we’d like to share some words from Constanza (@psiconstanza.m), who volunteered to teach beginner-level Spanish classes as part of Vínculos Project at Fundación Asha-Kiran in Málaga.

“I joined Asha-Kiran’s team, teaching Spanish classes to people who were just starting out with the language. From day one, I felt welcomed—both by the Foundation’s team and by those attending the classes.

I experienced some truly rewarding moments, filled with learning, connection, and lots of smiles. From the moment I started volunteering, I could feel the warmth and gratitude of the people participating in the project, which moved me deeply.

It’s very comforting to realize that a simple gesture like spending a few hours a week can help make a real difference in the lives of others and in society. That’s why I encourage everyone to do their part, and Asha-Kiran is, without a doubt, a wonderful place to do so.”

Thank you, Constanza, for your commitment, your empathy, and the warmth with which you’ve been part of this journey.

Would you like to have an experience like hers? At Proyecto Vínculos, there’s always room for people who want to share a little of their time and help those arriving in our country find support, trust, and new opportunities. And if you can’t participate as a volunteer, you can also become a member of Asha-Kiran and help this project continue to grow.

Every action counts. And when many people do their part, change becomes possible.
