Young Promises: Ritesh’s Resilience
At Asha-Kiran, we have learned that when youngsters have external support and guidance, it is easier for them to develop a balanced view of themselves and their environment. This support also strengthens their commitment to their chosen profession and opens paths of confidence and future opportunities.
Ritesh is a clear example of this. He is in his third year of a bachelor’s degree in commerce and, after successfully passing his second-year exams, he decided to take a part-time job as an Accounts Specialist. This gave him valuable experience and much-needed income for his family.
However, life tested him. His grandfather had a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital. Ritesh then made the difficult decision to quit his job to be with his family at this critical time. Presently, as his grandfather is slowly recovering at home, Ritesh has proven that resilience also means prioritizing what is truly important.
Far from giving up, this young man has once again looked ahead with creativity and courage. He is now preparing to embark on a new path: launching a small photography business. He is researching equipment, studying marketing options, and beginning to design initial projects to build a portfolio and have an income. With this initiative, he seeks not only to support his family, but also to turn his talent and passion into opportunities.
Ritesh's story reminds us that adversity can also be a fertile ground for innovation, learning, and inner strength. And that, when young people have a network to lean on, every challenge can be turned into a step toward a more dignified and promising future.
