Sadhana – turning life into honey
A young life flourishing amid challenges.
Youngster’s lives, just like children’s, are fertile ground. A little nurturing, trust, and guidance is all it takes for dreams, capabilities and possible futures to blossom.
Sadhana is one such young woman who has been able to turn hardship into momentum. She participates in our Young Talents program and is currently in her second year of Arts degree. Her dedication to her studies is unwavering, but her journey has not been easy. She has faced significant personal and emotional challenges throughout her life.
A single mother’s child, Sadhana lives with her grandparents, who have always supported her. Recently, her grandfather suffered a stroke. He had to be hospitalized and still requires constant care at home. This situation has been an emotional blow and has brought about considerable financial strain on the family.
Far from giving up, Sadhana has kept moving forward with vitality and creativity. She recently participated in a workshop for young entrepreneurs and is considering opening a small food stall to help with household expenses. At just twenty years old, she already shows an admirable sense of responsibility and maturity.
At Asha-Kiran we walk by her side, offering guidance, human closeness and all the encouragement we can give her. We admire her ability to extract sweet honey out of every difficulty, to turn bitterness into learning, and burdens into growth.
Sadhana represents the heart of our work: to stay close to real processes of transformation, to trust hidden talents, and to look after new shoots while they are still delicate. With stories like hers, we continue to believe that a different future is possible.
