There are gestures that heal
Giving Tuesday 2025 – A day for giving and caring
In Saint Louis, in northern Senegal, hundreds of talibé children and teens survive on the streets, begging and suffering from illnesses that no one addresses. Together with the Association Maison des Talibés, Fundación Asha-Kiran is working to change this reality through the Talibe Children’s Home project: a future Day Care Center that will offer education, food, psychosocial support... and, above all, basic medical care for more than 600 children.
This Giving Tuesday, we have set the goal of meeting an urgent need: treating skin infections, open wounds, and cases of malnutrition, problems that can get much worse without proper care.
Through this challenge, we want to raise €2,885 to provide medication, medical supplies, medicinal soap, nutritional assessment, clean clothes, and medical follow-up at the day care center. These treatments are possible and have a huge impact: sometimes €5 is enough to stop an infection that could have lifelong consequences.
At Daroum, our future Day Care Center aims to be a daily refuge: literacy classes in French, Wolof, and English, educational activities, emotional support... but none of this is possible if the children are not healthy. Health is the first gateway to dignity, learning, and the future.
Why does your contribution matter?
- Because timely treatment can prevent pain and exclusion.
- Because being healthy allows children to learn, play, and grow.
- Because every donation is a tangible act of protection.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to be part of the change.
Your support guarantees safe medical treatment for hundreds of children.
